Here is the pattern idea sheet for you to look at while you work! You can also do a Google search for "zentangles" or "zentangles for kids." There are literally thousands of ideas for patterns!

Today we have another fun activity in honor of Earth Day this week! We will be using everyday objects to make faces. You will be repurposing objects to turn them into art. When you are done with your art, you can put the object back and it can go back to doing its normal job, so nothing is wasted! For this activity, you will need: any solid colored plate household objects for facial features camera/phone with camera Once you have your plate, search around your house for objects that might look like facial features. Paper Towel Tie Dye

Today is a rainy day, so I have a fun indoor activity for you! We are going to be creating paper towel tie dye art. It is easy to do with just a few materials! You will need: paper towels markers rubber bands a spray bottle with water (you can sprinkle water on the paper towel with your fingers if you don't have a spray bottle) wax paper, newspaper, cardboard, or any material you can put underneath your paper towel while you spray it and as it dries. Make Your Own Emoji!

Emojis are a fun way for us to express ourselves! Today, we will be creating our own. Think about all of your emotions (happy, sad, frustrated, excited, etc.) and how you show them on your face. Here are some ideas to get you started! To make your emojis, you will need: any kind of paper pencil colorful art supplies (paint, markers, crayons, or colored pencils will work) something round to trace (I used a cup, but you could use a roll of tape or a lid) Don't have paper? You can also use the back of a piece of junk mail that is going in the trash or an old cardboard box! And you can just use a pencil or pen if you don't have anything to color with!
