To make a rainbow, you will need:
- any kind of paper
- colorful art supplies (paint, markers, crayons, or colored pencils will work)
- tape
Here are the steps!
- Get out a white piece of paper.
- Remember, the order of the colors in the rainbow are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. If you don't have all the colors, just use the ones you have in the order of the rainbow and skip the others.
- Start with violet (purple) on the bottom to make sure I have enough room for the smallest part of my rainbow. Paint or draw an upside-down "u" shape.
- Add the other colors above it, going in the backwards order of the rainbow until you get to red.
- After you add your rainbow, write a positive message above or below your rainbow. Ideas include:
- We love our neighbors!
- Let's all be well!
- Here's a rainbow to brighten your day!
- Sign your name on your paper.
- Hang your paper on a window or door so your neighbors can see it!
